Bodegas Juan Gil

Four generations of family winemaking from the heart of Jumilla.

Bodegas Juan Gil is one of Jumilla’s best-known family wineries, with a history stretching back to 1916. The winery has become closely associated with Monastrell, the region’s signature grape, producing expressive wines that combine ripe Mediterranean fruit with depth, structure and character.

The winery

Founded by Juan Gil Giménez, the winery has remained under family ownership for four generations. Today, Juan Gil forms part of Viñas Familia Gil, a wider family group with wineries across several of Spain’s important wine-producing regions.

Style and character

Juan Gil wines are recognised for their generous fruit, concentration and distinctly Mediterranean personality. Monastrell is central to the range, from approachable everyday wines to richer, oak-aged expressions.
